Information on Septic and Well:
The sewage treatment system consists of a 2000-gallon 2-compartment septic tank followed by a distribution box leading to two (2) 15’x32’ subsurface sand filter beds (960 sq. ft). The STS also has a 6-inch inspection port leading to a catch basin along S. River Road. Records show that 2000 gallons were pumped from the septic tank on November 3, 2020. Based on emails contained in the file, the distribution box for the system was replaced in November 2020. The email is the last attachment in the STS PDF. Additionally, the STS is on our Operation and Maintenance program. This permit must be renewed every five years. The expiration date for the permit this system is under is January 11, 2026. Under this permit, the system must be properly maintained through necessary upgrades, repairs, alterations, pumping, etc. A letter of request will be sent to the property for renewal of this permit.
